There’s a petition here requesting Oracle finish the work which Sun presumably never did:

For a company which their own Edward Screven states they do not have an open source strategy (as evidenced by the apparent total lack of support for OpenSolaris) I’m not sure what good this will do – but nevertheless it’s a worthy cause and I for one am keen to support it.
